Here comes The Seven Deadly Sins! The band that everyone loves to hate. The Devil's Kin have been a traveling band for centuries, changing appearances as time go on, these members have been secretly making their fans become their followers in order to take over the world. However, they don't know which sin will take over Earth, so they have been pulling a "Popularity Contest" of their own by seeing how many followers they can get, leading to many sibling fights and near world-ending events.
These Seven Deadly Sins Designs are inspired by boy bands from the 2000s-early 2010s and jock fashion, along with various animals from natures. They were also inspired by the LoveLive! Franchise, by how J-pop bands have a lot of members for each band.
Pride is the leader, and lead vocalist, of the band. They have a bit of a self-centered personality, being the oldest sibling and having the most fans out of anyone of the band. They have the ability to see themselves in others, which is how they're able to get followers.
Pride was inspired by dragonflies and the Texas Longhorn, and the tail was inspired by Doremy Sweet from Touhou's lion tail, as a group of lions is called a "Pride". The eyes on the wings were inspired by the "All Eyes On Me" Metaphor, as characters inspired by the Pride sin has that have that sort of mentality.
Greed is the electric guitarist of the band, and is the second most adored member. They're often a bit suave and looks for the most expensive items they can find, but doesn't want to spend the money they got. So, they ask their fans to get the items for them, thus gaining followers from it.
Greed's design was inspired by Emo/Scene culture, as popular bands were inspired by that culture around that time, and I have personal interest in that culture. Greed's wings were inspired by Flandre Scarlet from Touhou, but has a more mechanical feel to it, since gold is a metal.
Lust is the backup vocalist of the band, and is the most independent of the group, as they sing solo songs about "Finding a soul mate" and "Hoping they can see the one soon." Thus placing then in third place when it comes to the "Contest", by how their followers want to be "The one". In reality, they don't really care about romance, or anything of the sort.
Lust's design is very simple, hearts are a fun shape to draw, and it was nice to see the hearts fall into place in the design. Lust is more of a siren like-creature than a succubus-like creature, but I think it's a nice change of pace for Lust-inspired characters, at least to me.
Envy is the percussionist and the least popular member of the band, they often get jealous of the others, and has been making their own merch in order to gain more followers. The others (Except for Gluttony and Sloth) don't believe them, but it has worked, along with the followers being jealous of other members getting more popularity than Envy.
Envy was the hardest design to think of, but I figured it out by giving them large ram horns, but tiny dove wings and a tiny dog tail. I also gave them a eye on the collar for the "Green-Eyed Jealousy" metaphor.
Gluttony is the rhythm guitarist of the group and is also the social media specialist by vlogging where they're about to go next, they also love the food made in Earth, and being 5th place in the "contest", they hope they can reach to number one in order for people to cook for them.
I like Gluttony's design here, as it shows their personality through the picture. Beelzebub was the inspiration behind the wings, as Beelzebub is associated with flies and flies are known to eat just about anything.
Wrath is the Metal Vocalist and Bassist of the group, and has been know to be the hot-headed member, starting fights with their siblings and smashing their guitar at the end of the song. However, they are known to have a soft spot for their followers, which is how they're able to get to 4th place in the contest.
Wrath was the easiest to design, as the wings and tail are based off of European dragons, and the horns were inspired by Texas horned Lizard.
Sloth is the synthesizer of the group, and has been known to start the song with good beats, as "It's the easiest thing to do." Sloth is second to last in the contest, but doesn't mind, as the followers like the cat aesthetic and "Going with the flow" personality they have going on.
Sloth the first one to get designed, but looked more similar to Envy before they were changed. They were going to have more of a Sloth like appearance (Since they have the same name.) However, the horns look more like cat ears, so I gave them a cat personality, since cats are lazy.
